With its immersive 5.1.4 sound and deep bass, Sennheiser AMBEO Soundbar claims to deliver 3D sound that blurs the line between playback and reality from a single all-in-one device. According to the company, the AMBEO 3D audio technology program is dedicated to creating immersive audio solutions. “We are thrilled to be introducing the AMBEO Soundbar in India as Sennheiser’s first foray into the home entertainment speaker category. We believe the AMBEO Soundbar is truly clutter-breaking and representative of our commitment to deliver memorable and quality audio experiences to our Indian users,” said Daniel Sennheiser, Co-CEO, Sennheiser. Sennheiser AMBEO Soundbar is powered by 13 audio drivers and the latest virtualisation technology, which was jointly developed with Fraunhofer IIS. Moreover, the AMBEO Soundbar optimizes the sound for the individual room and preferred seating position through room calibration. This room calibration with the included external microphone automatically adapts and optimizes the acoustics to fit the individual environment. The other specification of Sennheiser AMBEO Soundbar is that it is compatible with Dolby Atmos, MPEG-H and DTS: X. It comes fitted with Upmix Technology that recreate stereo and 5.1 content in stunning 3D. It houses five different presets like movie, music, sports, news and neutral that precisely adjust not only the frequencies but also the 3D sound characteristics. Looking at the connectivity options, Sennheiser AMBEO Soundbar can be connected through Google Chromecast, Bluetooth and HDMI eARC/CEC. Besides these, a user can also connect through HDMI inputs, an optical audio port and an AUX (RCA) input. It must be noted that Sennheiser’s Smart Control App designed for iOS and Android enables users to adjust acoustic settings via smart devices. The new features can be updated in the soundbar via Wi-Fi and app updates. Earlier a report had also revealed that Sennheiser will be launching a new range of wireless headphones and foraying into segments like soundbars with a hope to capture a double-digit growth in the fast-moving market in India. With this it looks like Sennheiser is going to bring more new innovations to the country as there is demand for such products. But they also have to remember India is a price sensitive market.
