The report, which first surfaced on Android Police, says that Samsung is planning to launch two sizes for the Galaxy Note 10. While one will be a regular variant of the Galaxy Note 10, the other will be slightly smaller as compared to usual Galaxy Note phablets. The smaller variant would come without a 3.5mm headphone jack and any kind of physical buttons including Power, Volume, and Bixby. Instead, the handset will come with capacitive or touch-sensitive textured areas, which are speculated to be similar to the power button/fingerprint scanner on Samsung Galaxy S10E. We should mention that this is in line with previous rumours that suggested that Samsung is looking to completely eliminate buttons on its Galaxy Note 10. While removing buttons may not be a big problem as Samsung has always tried to make all aspects of its smartphones more unibody, but eliminating the headphone jack may not be a very welcome move. Moreover, it may not be appreciated as Samsung has always touted to retain the feature against its competitors. If Samsung plans to retain the stylus in this Galaxy Note 10 model, it will have to keep the slot to keep the S Pen too. However, since the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is months away right now, these rumours should not be taken too seriously. As we get closer to the launch, we will get a clearer picture of what to expect from the upcoming phablet.
In an unrelated piece of news, it has been reported that while the top-end variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will house a 4,500mAh battery, the watered-down model will pack a 3,400mAh battery. It has also been reported that both the variants of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 sport a single front-facing camera that will be placed in a punch-hole setup, just like the ones on the Galaxy S10-series. But then, as we mentioned earlier, all of these must be taken with a pinch of salt as there are many months remaining for the launch of the handset.
