The company has already had an option of wirelessly transferring data between two iOS devices, however, it depends completely on iCloud for doing this. With the new method, users will be able to transfer app data, device settings, photos and more directly from one iPhone to another. However, it is worth pointing out that the apps would still need to be downloaded from the App Store after the migration of data is completed. Another very important addition that has been made is that passwords are now included in the data that is transferred from an old iPhone to a new one. Earlier, passwords were not saved as a part of the iCloud backups and Apple always cited security and privacy concerns for this. Prior to this, there was always an option of encrypting a device backup using iTunes to save all the passwords, but then, Apple wanted to give its users an option with which they could do this without using a computer. In addition to this, iOS 12.4 also enhances the browsing on Apple News Plus by making it easier to access all the publications that are a part of it from the top of the News Plus section. With today’s update, Apple has also fixed the flaw in the Walkie Talkie feature on Apple Watch. We should mention that the feature was taken down after a vulnerability had surfaced that allowed people to listen to another person’s iPhone secretly without their consent. While Apple maintained that the security loophole was not misused by anyone, it also took it down to fix it. The latest watchOS update that is being rolled out by the company — version 5.3 — also takes the support for EKG feature and regular heartbeat detection to Canada and Singapore.

Last, but not the least, Apple says that going forward, its HomePod smart speaker will begin working in Japan and Taiwan. Have you got the new update for your device yet?
